Fishwife is a women-founded food company aiming to make ethically-sourced, premium, and delicious tinned seafood a staple in every cupboard. POSITION OVERVIEW:
We're looking for an Operations and Logistics Coordinator to join our team as Fishwife expands its sales and distribution footprint. This role will support logistical processes relating to Fishwife’s supply chain, retail growth, and eCommerce operations through effective communication, planning, and troubleshooting as new challenges and opportunities arise. The ideal candidate is highly organized, diligent, and well-suited to the dynamism of a startup environment.
This is a full-time, remote role. Preference for candidates based in LA, but can be flexible for the right candidate.
As our Operations and Logistics Coordinator, you will:
- Support our retail expansion by
- Onboarding and maintaining independent wholesale accounts
- Processing direct wholesale orders and collecting payment
- Providing customer service for wholesale customers ranging from sample processing, corrective actions, and new product launches
- Ensure satisfactory eCommerce customer experiences by
- Assisting in the management of our 3PL to ensure all orders are picked accurately and shipped in on time to customers
- Managing and monitoring eCommerce platforms and integrations to ensure that orders are processing correctly
- Support logistical processes by
- Creating and maintaining SOP documentation on key processes, especially in cross functional (i.e. Sales & Operations) workflows
- Creating and maintaining regular sales and inventory reports
- Supporting our Director of Operations across our supply chain, including production, logistics, warehousing, and wholesale partners
- Ad hoc responsibilities may include:
- Leading sourcing and overseeing production for brand assets
- Building and managing production timelines for special projects
- Coordinating staff support for on-premise activations
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in operations, logistics, or sales ideally in the Food and Beverage space
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and the Google Suite (bonus for Notion and/or Adobe)
- A highly organized and detail oriented doer with an exceptional ability to prioritize, multitask, work autonomously, and communicate proactively
- Scrappiness, "no task too small" attitude with a bias towards action, an aptitude for picking up new skills quickly, and an eagerness to manage up and keeping our operations team on task
